Trip to Ghana, 2018

I have long supported a mission in Asikuma, Ghana, sponsored by Acts 2 Collective in Iowa. I finally had a chance to visit in September 2018. I wrote an alphabet book for the mission school and presented copies to the headmaster Samuel. I am accepting no profits for this book. The $10 fee goes directly to a special fund established for educational sponsorships and projects. When the temporary school has been replaced by the new, concrete one, I hope there will be room for a library to store books. I will be glad to donate all of mine and help populate the library with local books to help the local economy. My visit was a visit of love, the book was written with love, using photos of the community instead of illustrations. I was received with hearts full of love and happiness. Many of the people I met never knew I am an author, and that’s fine. As Mahatma Gandhi said, "My life is my message."
